EFBLU 2019: INTEL WON!

10/12/2019

The Italian edition of the tournament has been won by Intel (RUS)

16 teams, 8 Countries, one love: football.

The 4th edition of the EFBLU, the European Football Business Leagues United, has been played in Milan the 7th and the 8th December and has been a success: more than 200 athtletes, 50 matches, and lot of passion, intenisty and obviously fun.

Teams from Russia, Belarus, Latvia, Romania, Portugal, Polonia, Slovenia and Italy arrived in Milan in order to play the tournament, enjoy the weather, live the city and taste the Italian food living a great experience with friends and colleagues.

At the beginning the 16 participants have been divided into 4 groups (with specific restrisctions due to the provenance). Then, on Saturday, the group stage took place and the rankings have been defined, with the consequent final stages: Gold and Silver phase.

The tournament has been compelling, fought and balanced and all the teams showed a great organization and spirit.

The Gold Stage was won by Intel (RUS) after an incredible final against Catena Racing Team (ROM), which gave up only after the penalty shootout lottery. (The final result was 1-1). The protagonists of the Silver stage final have been PepsiCo (ROM) and OB Servicess (LTV), with the romanian that won an amazing final for 7-6 against the yellow team.

The Polish teams , Raben and PKO Bank Polski, showed a good football, based on aggression and counter-attacks, more or less like the Slovenian ones (Cinkarna Celje and Odelo). The Country from which the most teams came from was Romania, with 5 representatives very well arranged. One of them, PepsiCo, won the Silver Stage, but also Hidroconstructia, Gemini Solutions and Rompetrol made a really good impression, showing a choral game that involved everyone, also the goalkeepers (the Gemini's one won the Award as the Best of the Tournament).

The Italian teams (Credipass, BEST srl and Network Pentagono) are the ones that have had more difficulties, toiling during all the tournament: maybe they undervalued the opponents, maybe they weren't used to playing in the morning, but the did really a bad impression.

Funsports and Energetik, the only ones respectively from Portugal and Belarus, achieved different result: the Iberists arrived 4th in the Silver phase, the Eastern Europeans arrived into the Gold phase, but without being lucky and competitive.

Thanks to Pawel, to the Sports Centre and to all of you: this event will remain into the participants' hearts and minds.

PS: You could watch yourselves playing in the next days, excactly on YouTube page "Serie I Campionato Per Imprese".

Long life to EFBLU!
